The observation that started it

Burnout is typically treated as a personal problem.

Someone isn't managing their stress well enough. They need better boundaries, more sleep, a mindfulness practice. The solution is always aimed at the individual — as if the environment they're operating in has nothing to do with it.

But across industries and organizations, the same pattern keeps emerging: high-performing, committed people burning out not because they lack resilience, but because the systems they work within are quietly depleting them.

The culture rewards overextension. Leadership unknowingly models unsustainable behavior. The workplace itself — its noise, its rhythm, its design — is working against focus and recovery rather than supporting it.

No wellness initiative fixes that. Not sustainably.

RegenReset™ was built around a different premise: that burnout is an organizational problem, and it requires an organizational response — one that addresses leadership, people, and environment together.

The Philosophy

You cannot create sustainable performance from a dysregulated system.

When an organization is structurally misaligned with how people function, the consequences are predictable: declining focus, rising reactivity, shrinking creativity, increasing turnover. Eventually, burnout.

This isn't a motivation problem. It isn't a discipline problem.

It's a design problem.

RegenReset™ works at the level where the problem actually exists — the systems, patterns, and conditions that shape how people experience work every day.

The Framework

RegenReset™ addresses burnout across three interconnected layers. Addressing all three — in sequence and in relation to each other — is what makes the difference between a one-off intervention and lasting change.

Leadership

The behaviors, expectations, and cultural patterns set by those in charge. How pressure is modeled. How clarity (or confusion) flows through the organization. How psychological safety is built or quietly eroded.

People

The lived experience of the team. Energy, boundaries, recovery capacity, focus, and the degree to which individuals are being asked to compensate for structural failures.

Environment

The physical and operational conditions of work. Workspace design, sensory load, meeting culture, digital friction, and the presence or absence of conditions that support genuine recovery and focus.

“You cannot create sustainable performance from a dysregulated system.”

About Aia

RegenReset™ is founded by Aia Ileana Sondergaard.

With a background spanning public health, business development, and sustainability, Aia brings a cross-disciplinary perspective to burnout and organizational performance — one that takes human biology, leadership behavior, and workplace design seriously, all at once.

She has worked across the US, Europe, and Mexico, and combines structured, evidence-informed thinking with a direct, human approach to organizational change.

Her work is grounded in a simple conviction: that performance and well-being are not in opposition. When the conditions are right, they reinforce each other.

RegenReset™ is the result of that work.
